Community Relations
As an organization deeply invested in fostering thriving relationships with local communities, PSFI continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting respect, growth, and development. It has consistently engaged with local governments and communities, extending its impact within and beyond its areas of operation. With a dedicated focus on understanding and addressing the unique needs of each location, PSFI forged new strategic partnerships in 2023. This approach underscores the Foundation’s unwavering dedication to community welfare, marking it as a leader in stakeholder relations.
The success of PSFI’s programs depends on volunteers, local partners, government agencies, and like-minded organizations that also aim to empower Filipinos. This is most evident in several initiatives on education, health and safety, the environment, disaster response, and resilience. In Brigada Eskwela, the Foundation worked closely with various schools to build environments conducive to learning. Local partners’ environmental initiatives were supported by PSFI, which led to more expansive coverage of tree-planting and beach cleanup projects.
Blood donation drives and medical missions would not have been possible without the support of health-related organizations and local volunteer health workers. Most importantly, the Foundation’s response to immediate needs has been most effective when local leaders and partners coordinate.
A Community That Serves (ACTS)
Shell ACTS is a volunteer initiative at Shell companies in the Philippines (SciP) that aligns with the company’s global theme of social investment. Over 1,200 employees have participated in various initiatives like science education challenges, business development programs, medical missions, and coastal cleanups. Despite challenges, employees find volunteering rewarding, and it fosters both community impact and internal collaboration.
