PSFI Received Two Major Awards for its Community Efforts at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards

Just in time for Farmers’ and Fisherfolk’s Month, Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) and Shell companies in the Philippines (SciP) were honored with the GRAND STEVIE® AWARD for the Philippines. This award is given to the highest-scoring nominations from the top four markets and cannot be directly applied for by organizations.
 
With an impressive average score of 9.33/10, PSFI and SciP’s ‘Empowering Farmers, Enriching Communities: The Transformative Impact of Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc.’ also secured a Gold Stevie for Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications.
 
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated employees, whose passion and hard work are the driving forces behind our success,” says PSFI Executive Director, Sebastian Quiniones, Jr., as he accepted the awards on behalf of SciP. “I also wish to thank our partners, stakeholders, and the communities we serve for their trust and collaboration.”

The Stevie Awards is a global business recognition body with eight business awards competitions held annually. This year, five Grand Stevie® Awards were presented at the 11th annual Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards, an awards program that recognizes workplace innovation across the Asia-Pacific region.

Christopher Alcantara, a father from La Union, took a leap of faith when he applied as a SKIL scholar in Automotive Servicing NC I. From driving a tricycle and doing farm work, he committed himself fully to learning new skills that could lead to stable employment. Through hands-on training, leadership development, and on-the-job experience, Christopher’s journey shows how dedication to learning can open doors to a more secure future for families.

A Legacy in Motion: Honoring Dado Banatao Through the Futures He Helped Build

Forty days after the passing of Dado Banatao, his legacy continues through the lives shaped by the Shell–PhilDev Scholarship Program. Implemented by Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. in partnership with PhilDev, the program has supported 215 Filipino STEM scholars since 2013, building pathways from education to leadership and service.
