Project PASA Strengthens Sustainability and Community Impact Through MOA Signing

MAKATI CITY, Philippines, May 7, 2026 — Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI), Shell Business Operations (SBO) Manila, and Shell Pilipinas Corporation (SPC) formalized their partnership for Project PASA (Passing Along Sustainably used Assets) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Shell Business Office.

Leading the signing ceremony were Theodore Leonin, General Manager of Shell Shared Services (Asia); Stanley Siahetiong, Energy Transition Manager of Shell Pilipinas Corporation; and Sebastian C. Quiniones Jr., Executive Director of PSFI, witnessed by Archie Arceno, Real Estate Manager of Shell Business Operations, and Raiza Cusi, Program Director of PSFI. Their participation highlighted the shared commitment of the organizations to advancing sustainability, circularity, and community development.

Project PASA is an initiative that promotes circularity and sustainability by giving used furniture, mobile devices, and electronic equipment a second life. Instead of being discarded, these assets are redirected to organizations and communities where they can continue creating value and supporting development efforts. The partnership enables SBO Manila and SPC to donate pre-loved assets to PSFI, ensuring that these resources benefit marginalized and underserved communities.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment to responsible resource stewardship and demonstrates how sustainability can create meaningful impact beyond the workplace. Through Project PASA, assets that have completed their original purpose within Shell offices are given new opportunities to support learning, productivity, and community development.

In his message during the signing ceremony, Sebastian C. Quiniones Jr., Executive Director of PSFI, emphasized that the project goes beyond asset management and environmental responsibility.

Quiniones noted that items often considered ordinary in a corporate setting can become valuable tools for communities striving to improve their lives.

A chair, a desk, a mobile phone, or a piece of equipment may seem ordinary in a corporate setting, but in the hands of the communities we support, they become vital tools for learning, productivity, and empowerment.

The agreement formalizes the donation of furniture, mobile phones, and electronic items from SBO Manila and SPC to PSFI, which will facilitate the responsible distribution and use of these assets for social development purposes.

More than a sustainability initiative, Project PASA embodies the spirit of collaboration and shared responsibility. By extending the life of usable assets and directing them to where they are needed most, the partnership demonstrates how simple acts of stewardship can create lasting benefits for both people and the environment.

As Project PASA continues to grow, SBO Manila, SPC, and PSFI remain committed to building a culture where sustainability and community impact go hand in hand, ensuring that resources continue creating value long after their original use.
